Mine Has Red Lace-up Shoes

Check out the Gwen Stefani Harajuku Girls paperdolls. If you don't like Gwen or you think Harajuku style is a fashion nightmare that has been dreamed up in the pits of hell, the bonsai doesn't care!

Awesomeness

Just one more thing. I finally got my Kotobukiya Luke Skywalker vs. Darth Vader 30th Anniversary statues (based on the above concept art by Ralph McQuarrie). The pictures below are not so great, but you can see the awesomeness. Big set: DV is 11" tall and the base is 16.5" long.

A Disclaimer

Well, the Zoological Society of San Diego has issued a new policy to its employees. They know we are all writing about work on our blogs and want to make sure we know not to write anything that could be deemed "defamatory, obscene, proprietary or libelous" as it may be construed as the official opinion of a ZSSD representative. I am supposed to make it clear to all of you (though I'm sure you are adults and could figure this out) that the opinions expressed on this page are mine alone, etc., etc. The following is the suggested method, and I print it verbatim:

The postings on this site are my own and don’t necessarily represent the Zoological Society of San Diego’s positions, strategies or opinions.

Thank you. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programs.

Too Much Time..

Some people take a lot of time to make stupid videos. However, some are hilarious. I knew you were all wondering what might have happened were the Beatles ever in a zombie flick...

Baby Panda

I almost forgot. Bai Yun, one of the Giant Pandas at the Zoo, had her fourth baby on Friday. See the live cam (most likely, you'll see sleeping mama, but I caught a glimpse in only a couple minutes of watching).

Weird Morning

Hey. I'm back. Just had to write about this. I agree with Newt Gingrich. I'm watching C-SPAN right now and he is talking about his proposal for changing election debates. If you get a chance to pick up any snippits of it (if they let it onto YouTube...non-governmental items on C-SPAN are in a legal limbo), I recommend it. I say this as a former debator who is totally bored with the debate format currently used with candidates. I don't think we get any info on our candidates this way. Also, the way this system is currently run, candidates implode because of how they have to act. My example is Al Gore, though I'm sure his non-fans could come up with a better example. Now don't get me wrong, I wanted to change the channel a couple of times because of things Newt said, his debate premis really struck a chord with me.
